Established in 2000, Universal Artists Management is Vancouver's only multilingual Film/TV and voice-over talent agency and has been committed to providing top-notch talent to the entertainment industry for over 10 years.
The agency represents actors and voice-over talent from a vast wealth of ethnic backgrounds including on-screen talent for film, television, documentaries, commercial productions, print and voice-overs for animation, narration, film, radio and TV commercials.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
MARIA JOSE DOYLE
Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Maria Jose created Universal Artists Management over a decade ago. She has a university background in Law, International Commerce and Interpretation.
Maria Jose has been on stage and in front of the camera since she was 14. She began her career performing with a variety of bands as well as recording a number of radio jingles before moving to Canada at the age of 23 to pursue a future in entertainment.
From 1988 to 1995 Maria Jose applied her skills as a Latin Singer and Dancer as a lead vocalist with BC Salsa and Vancouver Latin Connections and was a guest singer with Sal Ferreras, Tropicana amongst others. Pursuing acting kept Maria Jose busy with regular appearances on such productions as The Commish, Street Justice, A Menu for Murder and Christmas on Division Street, just to name a few. Now with decades of experience in the entertainment industry Maria Jose continues to apply herself as a devoted talent agent while juggling the demanding role as mother to her two beautiful daughters and one son residing in Delta, B.C.
